Health and Safety

Statement of Intent Statement 2026

Investments Key Limited is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for our employees, contractors, clients, visitors and any other persons who may be affected by our business activities.

Our objective is to prevent workplace injury and work-related ill health by identifying hazards, assessing risks and implementing appropriate and proportionate measures to eliminate hazards or reduce risks wherever reasonably practicable.

Investments Key Limited is committed to complying with applicable UK health and safety legislation and maintaining appropriate arrangements for managing health and safety throughout our operations.

We will support this commitment by providing, where appropriate:

  • Safe and healthy working conditions;
  • Suitable workplace equipment and facilities;
  • Appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision;
  • Risk assessments and appropriate control measures;
  • Suitable emergency and fire-safety arrangements;
  • Appropriate first-aid arrangements;
  • Procedures for reporting accidents, incidents, hazards and near misses;
  • Appropriate consideration of employee health and wellbeing; and
  • Adequate resources for the effective management of health and safety.

Our responsibilities extend not only to employees but also, so far as reasonably practicable, to clients, visitors, contractors, temporary workers and other persons who may be affected by our business activities.

Employee Responsibilities

Health and safety is a shared responsibility.

Every employee is expected to:

  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety;
  • Consider the health and safety of colleagues, clients and visitors;
  • Follow company health and safety procedures;
  • Use workplace equipment appropriately;
  • Report hazards, accidents, injuries and near misses promptly;
  • Cooperate with health and safety instructions and training; and
  • Immediately raise concerns where they believe an activity cannot be carried out safely.

Employees should not undertake any task where they believe there is a serious or uncontrolled risk without first seeking appropriate guidance from their line manager or the person responsible for health and safety.

Risk Management

We will regularly consider risks arising from our activities and working environment.

For our office-based and property-related operations, this may include risks associated with:

  • Office and workstation safety;
  • Display-screen equipment;
  • Slips, trips and falls;
  • Fire and emergency procedures;
  • Manual handling;
  • Business travel;
  • Property and development visits;
  • Lone working;
  • Working from home or remotely;
  • Contractors and visitors; and
  • Employee health and wellbeing.

Relevant control measures will be reviewed where working arrangements, premises, equipment or business activities materially change.

Training & Information

Employees will receive appropriate health and safety information and training relevant to their duties.

We will encourage employees to raise safety concerns and participate in improving our working practices.

Management will consult employees where appropriate and ensure that significant health and safety information is communicated effectively.

Accidents & Incidents

All workplace accidents, injuries, near misses and significant health and safety concerns should be reported promptly.

Records will be maintained where required and incidents will be reviewed to determine whether additional controls or corrective actions are necessary.

Serious incidents will be reported to the appropriate authority where required by applicable law.

Contractors & Property Visits

As a real estate business, our employees and representatives may occasionally visit properties, construction developments, developer offices and other third-party premises.

Employees are expected to observe relevant site rules and safety requirements and must not enter areas that are restricted or considered unsafe.

Where contractors or service providers undertake work on premises under our control, we expect them to operate safely and comply with applicable health and safety requirements.

Management Responsibility

The Board of Directors of Investments Key Limited has overall responsibility for providing leadership and direction on health and safety.

Day-to-day health and safety responsibilities may be delegated to appropriately competent employees or external professionals where necessary.

Management will make reasonable resources available to implement and maintain appropriate health and safety arrangements.

Continuous Improvement

Investments Key Limited recognises that effective health and safety management requires continuing review.

We will monitor our arrangements, consider employee feedback and review this statement whenever there are significant changes to our operations and, in any event, periodically to ensure that it remains appropriate for the business.
